What this tool does
The Digital Color Mixer linearly interpolates the encoded sRGB channel numbers of two HEX colors. The percentage controls how far the result moves from the first color toward the second.
Enter the values in the calculator above and choose Calculate. The calculation runs in your browser; the inputs are not intentionally sent to a Colormapped application server.
How it works
- Decode both HEX colors into RGB channels.
- Convert the second-color percentage to a 0–1 interpolation amount.
- For each channel, calculate first + (second − first) × amount.
- Round the channels and encode the result as HEX.
Worked example
Input
#5B5CF0 + #FFB13B at 50%Output
#AD8796At 50%, each output channel sits halfway between the two encoded sRGB channel values. This is a numeric screen blend, not pigment mixing.
When to use it
- Generate midpoint UI colors between two digital tokens.
- Explore transition colors for static design states.
- Create a quick numeric blend before building a full palette.
Accuracy and limits
- Encoded-sRGB interpolation is not perceptually uniform.
- The result does not predict physical paint, ink, or additive-light mixing behavior.
